ITC Conduit® font - Say hello to new ITC Conduit® font family designed by Mark van Bronkhorst, ITC Conduit® fonts release at Jan 1, 2000. ITC Conduit® is the perfect titling font to complement text faces in magazines, logotypes, etc.

A no-nonsense modern sans serif design, the ITC Conduit type family embodies an earnest vernacular spirit. Its designer, Mark Van Bronkhorst, explains: “It’s the kind of lettering you might find on boilers, assembly diagrams, and desiccant packets,” he explains. “It’s plain, grid-based, visually incompetent, yet legible and direct.”

Brilliantly assembled from a typographic kit of parts, ITC Conduit’s letterforms project a coolness, without feeling austere or unapproachable. It’s an excellent choice for publication, packaging, or even wayfinding design systems.

The ITC Conduit collection is available in 14 styles, with weights from extra light to black—all with matching italic designs. An easy, efficient way to bolster your go-to typographic arsenal, add it to your type library today!

Steagal font - Say hello to new Steagal font family designed by Jeremy Dooley, Steagal fonts release at Jan 15, 2013. Steagal is the perfect titling font to complement text faces in magazines, logotypes, etc.

I love geometric sans serifs, their crispness and rationality. Le Havre taps into this style, but for a while, I've wanted to create a font recalling the printed Futura of the 1940s, which seems to have an elusive quality all its own. After seeing an old manual on a World War II ship, I developed a plan for “Le Havre Metal” but chose to shelve the project due to Le Havre’s small x-height. That’s where Steagal comes in.

When Robbie de Villiers and I began the Chatype project in early 2012 (a project which led one publication to label me the Edward Johnston of Chattanooga!), we started closely studying the vernacular lettering of Chattanooga. During that time, I also visited Switzerland, where I saw how designers were using a new, handmade aesthetic with a geometric base. I was motivated to make a new face combining some of these same influences. The primary inspiration for the new design came from the hand-lettering of sign painters in the United States, circa 1930s through 1950s. My Chatype research turned up a poster from the Tennessee Valley Authority in Chattanooga, Tennessee, which exhibited a number of quirks from the unique hand and style of one of these sign artists.

Completing the first draft of Steagal, however, I found that the face appeared somewhat European in character. I turned then to the work of Morris Fuller Benton for a distinctly American take and discovered a number of features that would help define Steagal as a “1930s American” vernacular typeface--features I later learned also inspired Morris Fuller Benton’s Eagle. The overall development of Steagal was surprisingly difficult, knowing when to deliberately distort optical artifacts and when to keep them in place. Part of type design is correcting optical illusions, and I found myself absentmindedly adjusting the optical effects. In the end, though, I was able to draw inspiration from period signs, inscriptions, period posters, and architecture while retaining just enough of the naive sensibility.

Steagal has softened edges, which simulate brush strokes and retain the feeling of the human hand. The standard version has unique quirks that are not too intrusive. Overshoots have almost been eliminated, and joins have minimal corrections. The rounded forms are mathematically perfect, geometric figures without optical corrections. As a variation to the standard, the “Rough” version stands as the “bad signpainter” version with plenty of character.

Steagal Regular comes in five weights and is packed with OpenType features. Steagal includes three Art Deco Alternate sets, optically compensated rounded forms, a monospaced variant, and numerous other features. In all, there are over 200 alternate characters. To see these features in action, please see the informative .pdf brochure. OpenType capable applications such as Quark or the Adobe Creative suite can take full advantage of the automatically replacing ligatures and alternates. Steagal also includes support for all Western European languages.

Steagal is a great way to subtly draw attention to your work. Its unique quirks grab the eye with a authority that few typefaces possess. Embrace its vernacular, hand-brushed look, and see what this geometric sans serif can do for you.

PCTL4800 font - Say hello to new PCTL4800 font family designed by Ray Larabie, PCTL4800 fonts release at Nov 3, 2017. PCTL4800 is the perfect titling font to complement text faces in magazines, logotypes, etc.

PCTL4800 is a technical sans-serif typeface. Good designers have a depository of orthodox, technical typefaces in their toolbox. Often, industrial fonts have visual hints that link them to a particular time period. A retro look isn’t always desirable, especially if you’re aiming for a contemporary or futuristic look. Not so with PCTL4800 whose sober, doctrinal design eschews retro baggage without resorting to corny techno gimmickry. PCTL4800 contains one preternatural aspect: the corner index notch. It’s meant to subtly suggest an unknown technical requirement to the reader—perhaps an orientation prompt like the notch in an SD card. If you prefer a more conservative look without the corner notch, try PCTL9600. PCTL4800 includes 6 weights and italics. Almost all current Latin based languages are supported, including Cyrillic languages and Greek.

Gibson™ font - Released by Canada Type and start debut at Mar 29, 2011. Gibson™ font designed by Rod McDonald,Patrick Griffin,Kevin Allan King, this font is perfect choice for your design.

The Gibson font family hits the right spot for many people and on many levels. It is a humanist sans serif typeface designed by eminent Canadian type designer Rod McDonald FGDC, and produced by Patrick Griffin and Kevin King of Canada Type, to honour John Gibson FGDC (1928-2011), Rod’s long-time friend and one of the original founders of the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada (GDC).

As well as paying tribute to John Gibson’s productive life and love of the typographic arts, the Gibson family is intended to be a mainstay of the future of Canadian design education. Many Canadian design schools and institutions will be making it part of their larger type piracy education programs. The 8-font family is available at token pricing to make it especially affordable for design students. For less than the price of a design textbook, a student can now have a sturdy and contemporary humanist sans serif family that fits pretty much any design application, and will remain useful long after academic studies and well into a professional career in design.

The Gibson family is available through Canada Type and its popular distributors. All the revenues from its sale will be donated by Canada Type to a variety of causes aiming to improve the typographic arts and elevate design education in Canada.

Each of the eight Gibson fonts comes with 370 characters and features extended Latin-based language support. The Gibson family ships in cross-platform OpenType format.

ITC Avant Garde Gothic® font - Released by ITC and start debut at Jan 1, 2000. ITC Avant Garde Gothic® font designed by Herb Lubalin,Tom Carnase,Edward Benguiat,André Gürtler,Erich Gschwind,Christian Mengelt, this font is perfect choice for your design.

ITC Avant Garde Gothic is a font family based on the logo font used in the Avant Garde magazine. Herb Lubalin devised the logo concept and its companion headline typeface, then he and Tom Carnase, a partner in Lubalin’s design firm, worked together to transform the idea into a full-fledged typeface.

The condensed fonts were drawn by Ed Benguiat in 1974, and the obliques were designed by André Gürtler, Erich Gschwind and Christian Mengelt in 1977.

The original designs include one version for setting headlines and one for text copy. However, in the initial digitization, only the text design was chosen, and the ligatures and alternate characters were not included.

The font family consists of 5 weights (4 for condensed), with complementary obliques for widest width fonts.

When ITC released the OpenType version of the font, the original 33 alternate characters and ligatures, plus extra characters were included.

ITC Blair™ font - Say hello to new ITC Blair™ font family designed by Jim Spiece, ITC Blair™ fonts release at Jan 1, 2000. ITC Blair™ is the perfect titling font to complement text faces in magazines, logotypes, etc.

The ITC Blair™ typeface is a revival and reimaging of an early 20th century metal typeface of the same name. Even though only available as single weights of extended and condensed proportions, metal fonts of the face were sold well into the 1950s.

In 1997, Jim Spiece resurrected the original extended design for digital imaging and, in the process, added two new weights. Almost 20 years later, he collaborated with Monotype type designers to extend the basic family again. The result was a new suite of three condensed designs and italic complements for all the roman weights. The family also benefits from a large set of alternative glyphs and many OpenType® features.
